Del Norte County Visitors Bureau
www.exploredelnorte.com
Del Norte is California’s most northwestern county
and sits right on the scenic Pacific Northwest coastline that borders Oregon.
Until now, its economy relied on natural resources such a lumber and fishing,
but due to changing government regulations and environmental concerns, the
county has seen a steady decline in its mainstay industries. A focus on
tourism is the area’s logical next step to revive its economy.
With 70% of all travelers researching destinations online,
it was determined that replacing the Visitors Bureau website was the first
priority. The current site was confusing and tried to be too many things
without having depth of content or delivering the Del Norte County experience.
After several visits to the area, getting to know the
local community, and a lot of research, Motivo helped set the path for a
new direction.
• Wrote strategic plan and marketing recommendations.
• Directed website development team and co-created web strategy.
• Developed website content outline, content and wrote and edited copy.
• Provided media plan for small space ads to drive visitors to the website.
• Wrote ads and radio spot copy for two radio campaigns.

MealTime Website
www.mealtime.org
MealTime, the Canned Food Alliance (CAF) website was redesigned to increase
repeat traffic and user loyalty, speak to the target audience (women ages
24-35 with children) about issues most important to them such as motherhood,
health and quality of life, and to promote the benefits of canned food more
subtly.
Motivo was responsible for improving the quality of MealTime's content.
The project required developing new features and reporting on new information,
interviewing and integrating the philosophy and advice of spokesperson,
author and celebrity trainer, Bob Greene, and by rewriting and repurposing
the best of MealTime's existing content. CAF wanted users to view Mealtime
as both an easy-to-use meal-planning tool and a valuable information source
that offers quick and delicious recipes (created by nutrition experts) that
are good for your family.
• Developed and wrote content
• Edited existing content
• Interviewed Bob Greene for content
